  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. In a bowl, mix torn buns with melted butter and sesame seeds.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half the bun mixture, followed by half the beef mixture and half the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder for the special sauce; spread over the top layer.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and add American cheese slices; bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly.
