  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 slices of turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt; stir until just mixed.
  5. Fold in half of the crumbled turkey bacon and half of the chopped peanuts.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, return to oven for one minute to melt the chocolate, then spread it evenly over the bars.
  8. Top with remaining turkey bacon and peanuts before allowing to cool completely before cutting into squares.
