Ingredients
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 slices of turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth.
- Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt; stir until just mixed.
- Fold in half of the crumbled turkey bacon and half of the chopped peanuts.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, return to oven for one minute to melt the chocolate, then spread it evenly over the bars.
- Top with remaining turkey bacon and peanuts before allowing to cool completely before cutting into squares.
