- 4 slices hearty bread
- 2 tbsp softened butter
- ¼ cup apple butter
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese (thinly sliced)
- 1 apple (thinly sliced)
- ½ pound sliced deli turkey or turkey leftovers
- 8 leaves fresh sage
Instructions
- Preheat your panini maker as per the manufacturer's instructions.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread apple butter and layer with cheddar cheese, apple slices, turkey, and sage leaves.
- Top with another slice of bread (buttered side out), then place in the preheated panini maker.
- Close the lid and grill for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove, cut in half if desired, and serve warm.
